This Privacy Policy explains how PreInterview ("PreInterview," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visithttps://preinterview.ai, use our apps, and interact with our services (together, the "Services"). If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Services.
1) Who we are & how to contact us

2) Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account & Identity: name, email, password or SSO identifier, profile photo, role, employer.
- Content you provide: prompts, uploaded resumes/notes, interview questions/answers, audio/video you record or upload, feedback, and other materials you input into the Services.
- Usage & Technical: device/browser info, IP address, log data, pages viewed, referring URLs, crash/diagnostics, and cookie identifiers.
- Payment (if applicable): billing email, subscription details, and limited payment metadata via our processor (e.g., Stripe). We do not store full card numbers.
- Integrations (optional): if you connect accounts (e.g., LinkedIn or X/Twitter), we receive tokens and limited profile/page data needed to publish content on your behalf.
- Communications: emails, support requests, survey responses, and marketing preferences.
3) Sources of information
- Directly from you when you create an account, upload content, or contact support.
- Automatically via cookies, SDKs, and similar technologies.
- From third parties you choose to connect (e.g., LinkedIn, X/Twitter) or our service providers (analytics, payments, hosting, AI model providers).
4) How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, and secure the Services.
- Generate AI-assisted content and recommendations you request.
- Process transactions, send notices, and provide support.
- Personalize features, measure performance, and improve the Services.
- Send service communications and, where permitted, marketing updates (you can opt out anytime).
- Comply with law, enforce terms, and prevent fraud or abuse.
5) AI/Model provider disclosures
- When you use AI features, your prompts and content may be sent to third-party model providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) acting as our processors to generate outputs.
- We instruct providers to process data only to deliver the requested outputs and apply appropriate safety measures.
- We do not permit providers to train their models on your data.
- Avoid including sensitive personal information in prompts unless necessary.
6) Sharing of information
- Vendors/Processors that host, store, analyze, or support our Services (e.g., cloud hosting, email, analytics, error monitoring, payments, AI inference).
- Integrations you connect (e.g., posting to your LinkedIn Page or X account at your direction). We use OAuth tokens stored securely and you can revoke at any time.
- Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
- Legal and safety: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect rights, safety, and security.
We do not sell personal information.
7) Cookies & tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, analytics, and (where applicable) marketing.

8) Data retention
- We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
- Content you create (e.g., interview drafts, media) is retained until you delete it or your account, subject to backup cycles.
- OAuth tokens are retained while the integration remains active.
9) Your rights & choices
You may have rights to:
- Access, correct, or delete your information.
- Port your data.
- Object to or restrict processing.
- Opt out of marketing.
- Opt out of “sale” or “sharing” for targeted advertising (e.g., under CCPA/CPRA), if applicable.

10) International transfers
We may transfer, store, and process information outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
11) Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the risk (e.g., encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring). No system is 100% secure.
12) Children
The Services are not intended for children under 16 (or the age required by your jurisdiction). Do not use the Services if you are under the applicable age.
13) Automated decision-making
We use automation to generate content and suggestions you request. We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects without human involvement.
14) LinkedIn & X/Twitter integrations
- If you connect a social account, we obtain limited permissions to publish content you create/schedule and to read basic account/page info needed for that purpose.
- We store OAuth tokens encrypted and never see your password.
- You can disconnect at any time in your PreInterview account settings or the social platform’s settings.
- Your use of those platforms is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
15) Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be notified by posting in-app or on the site.
